“I knew that I wanted to create a recruitment agency that was different to other recruitment agencies.”
I started my career working in HR and very quickly realised that I had a huge passion for recruitment. Working as part of a wider HR team, I headed up the recruitment function in-house at Pets at Home for over 10 years, enjoying great success within that time. My interview to offer ratio was stronger than 2:1 for the candidates that I sourced (this meant that for every 2 candidates that we interviewed, we would make an offer to 1 of them), coupled with the lowest labour turnover figures in the retail industry. Whilst working at Pets at Home it was my ultimate belief that we would never compromise on our recruitment process, and therefore when I established Olivia Hughes Recruitment 8 years ago, my aim was to bring my approach to recruitment to a recruitment agency model. I knew that I wanted to create a recruitment agency that was different to other recruitment agencies. One that was built on providing exceptional service, best-in class quality as well as trust and integrity.
My approach to recruitment is one which is driven by quality and a commitment to finding only the right candidates for the businesses whom I work with, using a proactive and bespoke approach. This approach not only allows me to identify the best candidates in the marketplace, but enables me to deliver outstanding results. I am honest, discreet and professional as well as being extremely thorough and tenacious in my approach, leaving no stone unturned. I take great pride in the fact that 85% of the candidates that I submit, are in fact selected for interview, demonstrating the quality of the candidates that I submit.
