Job Description:
This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the UKs fastest growing womenswear fashion brands as a Print Designer. Key Responsibilities:
• Working closely with the Senior Print Designer to ensure that prints are sent out in line with the Critical Path.
• Creating original, commercial print designs in a wide range of styles that the customer will love.
• You will be experienced in creating precise, factory ready repeat prints and spec sheets including Pantones that are clear for suppliers to follow.
• You will be aware of the Critical Path and when prints need to be sent to different suppliers.
• Having a great eye for print and colour, you will continuously research current and future print trends and feedback to the design and buying teams.
• Along with the Senior Print Designer, you will complete trend print research and recolours of best sellers along with new artworks which will feed into the Company trends.
• Building up a strong knowledge of the customer so that you are able to confidently source newness/design inspiration that is in line with the brand identity.
• Fully understanding the analysis around how prints are currently performing, gaining full knowledge of their history to include best sellers, returns data and current trade and be fully up to date with the print strategy for the key departments you work with.
• Work closely with the Buying teams to manage strike off and production approvals, giving comments to suppliers on print quality and colour.
• You will work closely with suppliers daily, maintaining good relationships and making sure the prints are the best they can be.
What we’re looking for:
• A strong print portfolio, demonstrating commercial print designs in a variety of styles from Florals to Animals, Geometrics etc.
• Experience of designing prints and being part of a Womenswear product team.
• A degree in Textiles, Fashion or similar
• Excellent CAD skills and be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator for creating precise, factory ready print designs and spec sheets.
• Excellent knowledge of trends from catwalk to high street and a good instinct for new emerging trends.
• Open minded and able to take feedback well and be receptive to print alterations required by the team.
• Passion for a fast paced, high pressured and ever evolving way of working, embracing change and always looking for ways to improve how the Design Team function and work together.
• Highly organised and capable of managing multiple deadlines.
