Job Description:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the North-West’s most trusted and professional commercial insurance brokers as a Claims Handler.

As the Claims Handler, you will deal with a wide range of claims including Property Damage, Business Interruption, Equipment Breakdown, Employers Liability, Public Liability, Professional Indemnity, Directors & Officers Liability, Terrorism, Cyber, Financial Crime and Motor/Motor Fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
• Review and assess insurance claims across different products to determine coverage and liability.
• Acknowledge all new claims to both clients and insurers and keep clients informed, and ensure best outcome on each claim.
• Investigate and gather evidence to support claims decisions.
• Negotiate with claimants, insurers and others to reach settlements.
• Ensure all claims are handled in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to FCA guidelines and company procedures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all claims activities
• Maintain an efficient diary system for all claims, ensuring claims are chased as required,
• Achieve and maintain a high level of customer service and promote exceptional customer care standards at all times.
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with clients and insurers.
• Keep up-to-date with changes in the Insurance Industry.
• Prepare claims reports to be presented by Account Executives on larger cases.
• Conduct learning, training and assessment exercises in accordance with the individual T&C scheme applicable to you. Identify further areas for own development as required.

About You:
• You will have previous experience within the commercial insurance sector.
• Strong communication skills is an absolute must for this role, as is the ability to work well within a team.
• You will have a high attention to detail and accuracy.
• PC literate.
