Job Description:

This is an amazing opportunity to join a successful retail business as a Buying Admin Assistant. If you would like the opportunity to bring your passion for buying and product to a place where you can make your mark and develop your career, then this could be the right opportunity for you.

This is a perfect role for a graduate who is looking to start their buying career. Likewise, it would also suit an existing Buying Admin Assistant who is seeking a new challenge with a successful buying team.

As the Buying Admin Assistant, you will assist the buying team with the administration of sourcing, selecting, and purchasing products.

This is what you'll do:

• Assist the Junior Buyer with the day to day running of the department, including trade actions and liaising with suppliers.
• Creating SKUs and barcodes for new products, then accurately recording these on a central file and updating the range plan.
• Accurately raise purchase orders for new products and repeat orders.
• Managing the date report, so that delivery dates for customer pre-orders are reflected accurately on the website.
• Assist the Junior Buyer with compiling weekly Competitor Shopping Reports to highlight competitor activity, missed opportunities & promotional activity.
• Manage critical paths along with the wider buying team.
• Managing photography samples, involving requesting, tracking and chasing samples to be sent to photography studios in China and the UK.
• Proactively reviewing the website to improve the customer journey and shopping experience, including working with marketing to update copy, images and pricing.
• Management of re-merchandising ranges on site to help maximise sales opportunities.
• Take minutes in meetings and ensure they are written up and distributed in a timely manner.

Who we're looking for:

• You'll have an interest in buying and be keen to learn and develop.
• It's important that you are organised, have good time management and strong attention to detail.
• You'll be a team player who is proactive and able to suggest improved ways of working.
• PC literate, including Excel.

There are two roles available but be quick, they won't be around for long! If this opportunity sounds like it's the right one for you, then apply today.
