Job Description:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an incredibly successful fashion retail business as an Area Manager. The key purpose of this role is to ensure that exceptional operational and commercial standards are delivered throughout the stores within your geographical area. You'll be responsible for driving sales and profitability through performance and providing support and development to the Store Managers within agreed budgets.

Role Responsibilities:

• Maximise income and control overheads to achieve financial targets set for each store.
• Support the management of customer service activities and staff competence to optimise and sustain sales performance and customer satisfaction.
• Assist with the training and development of all store staff.
• Ensure that all stores adhere to compliance requirements in all areas of operational activity and company policies and procedures.
• Communicate business objectives to Store Managers so that they remain well informed of business activity and of their required contribution to targets.
• Ensure that stores deliver excellent service standards on a consistent basis.
• Responsible for the management of performance, absence and ER issues within stores.
• Act as a point of contact and knowledge for retail merchandising, maximising impulse buy opportunities.
• Prioritise workload, dividing time between store locations and when required, attending Head Office for meetings.
• Ensure effective recruitment and induction processes are followed.
• Ensure that the visual presentation of all stores represents the brand image.
• Support the delivery of all marketing campaigns.
• Liaise with other team members to ensure effective communication.
• Take responsibility for personal development and actively seek opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure stores comply with H&S requirements and ensure any risks are escalated to the appropriate person and are dealt with.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by Head of Stores.

About You...

• You'll have knowledge and experience of fashion retail.
• You'll have strong store management experience and ideally, you'll have multi-site retail management experience.
• Having a relevant fashion or management degree or equivalent would be advantageous, although not essential.
• You'll have a clean UK driving licence.
• You'll have a proven track-record of delivering high standards and great results.
• You'll be a people person with the ability to lead, manage and motivate your teams.
• Your excellent communication and people skills will enable you to deal confidently with people at all levels.
• You'll be a self-starter who is commercially focused and proactive in your approach.
• You will be well organised, with the ability to be able to adapt to change, and someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• You will need to be flexible as the role can involve overnight stays and some weekend/bank holiday working.
