It is my passion for recruitment which led me to identify an opportunity within the recruitment marketplace to offer employers a better way of working with their recruitment partner and to provide them with a different way of recruiting. With a career spanning over 11 years, in which time I headed up the recruitment function for a national specialist retailer who was also a Sunday Times No 1 Best Big Company to Work For, I personally feel that this experience qualifies me to have a true understanding of what you really need from your recruitment partner.
Coming from an in-house recruitment background, I totally understand, first-hand, what employers require from their recruitment partner, what their in-house recruitment challenges are, as well as some of those frustrations which can sometimes arise from working with recruitment agencies. Whilst working in-house within the industry it was my ultimate belief that we would never compromise on our recruitment process and I established Olivia Hughes Recruitment to apply the same values and principles which I have always been so proud of to hold.
As well as ensuring that candidates have the right skill-set to be able to fulfil a role I recognise that it is as equally important that they are well suited to the culture of a business and therefore I dedicate time in ensuring that I truly understand a business' culture. My ultimate aim is to provide you with a seamless service which is dedicated to providing you with quality candidates and to work in partnership with you in order to build a long-standing relationship. I use a proactive and bespoke approach to sourcing candidates which results in identifying passive as well as active candidates, who therefore would not have otherwise come across such an opportunity and are subsequently unique candidates on my database.
My unique approach speaks for itself as I have a proven track record of sourcing top quality candidates, with an interview to hire ratio of 2:1 for candidates whom I sourced through a direct sourcing approach, coupled with the lowest labour turnover figures in the retail industry. Put simply, this means that my extensive recruitment expertise enabled me to have an impeccable understanding of business recruitment requirements, including understanding the importance and necessity of retaining talent within the business, and this together with my dedicated approach to finding the right candidates resulted in me being able to provide the business with a high calibre of candidates whilst at the same time saving the hiring manager's time by presenting them with a highly effective shortlist of candidates. The fact that labour turnover was so low played testament to the fact that I identified candidates who were a perfect fit for the business who then went on to develop very successful and progressive careers.
I believe that anyone can recruit but the skill is in finding the right person and that any business' success is dependent upon recruiting the right people into a business and therefore I always recruit without compromise. My mix of skills which when combined together allows me to source the right candidates required to drive your business forward and make it even more successful.
